Irwin MCGorman RIP

It was with great sadness that the President, and the entire Malone RFC family learnt of the passing of Irwin McGorman.

Irwin was a true gentleman, and a true Malone man, and a friend to all at the club he will be very sadly missed.

Our deepest sympathies are extended to Irwins brother Alan and the wider family circle at this very sad time.

A pint of Guinness and 1 wee Bush.

Our wee Irwin one of a kind,
He'd give u a hug and feel your behind.
Not just the women but the blokes too.
He never knew what to be up to.

Always busying himself about the club,
To Irwin it was his 2nd home not just a pub.
Recycling the rubbish, bringing in the wines,
Opening up early and doing the lines.

Staying to help the staff lock up late,
Helping billy on a Saturday control the gate.
Rushing to watch Ulster a thing he wouldn't miss,
Banter with the boys and going on the piss.

His mighty norn iron the green and white army,
And the smallest of things making him barmy.
Thursday night giving off to the quiz master,
And out telling the young ones they need to be faster.

There'll never be another like you dear friend,
You put joy in my heart, and drove me round the bend.
You helped me when I needed it badly,
Wish I could have helped you but sadly..............
You've went up the road and there was really no rush,
But wen I'm next in the bar there will stand - 1 pint of Guiness and 1 wee Bush.

Funeral on Thursday 19th at 2:30pm at Roselawn.
