Malone Women’s rugby New Coach appointment Grace Davitt

2 months ago By Stephen Barbour

Malone Women’s rugby New Coach appointment Grace Davitt, and current seasons achievements.

Our woman’s team had their most successful season to date winning -

Ulster Division 1 ( undefeated)
Ulster Junior Cup
All Ireland League Bowl

And also getting through to the play offs for the All Ireland League getting beaten by the eventual winners St Mary’s RFC.

With Jonny Rowan stepping down as coach it was massively important the new coach would be able to take over from Jonny and move the team forward to the next level.

Therefore we are delighted to announce that we have secured the services of Grace Davitt to take over as head coach.

Grace played over 50 times for Ireland, winning the grand slam in 2012-13 and also took part in 3 world cups.

The former Irish centre is looking forward to working with the team and can’t wait for pre-season to start in a few months time.

As a Club it is fantastic to have secured Grace’s services and we look forward to welcoming her to Gibson Park.
