Division 2A
Malone v Cashel
Two defeats against Nenagh Ormond and Queens Uni have seen the Belfast side slip down to fourth place in Div 2A. Head coach Jarrett Truscott made wholesale changes for the UCL match with Ballymena last Sat when Malone secured a very creditable 10 - 10 draw. The team for Sat includes front row of Lee Barlow, Tristan King and Gary Crawford with Cory Tipping and James McAllister in the second row. Captain Neil Alcorn returns to the back row alongside Jonny Ogilby and number 8 Ross Todd. Shane Kelly and Josh Pentland continue at 9 and 10 with Michael Cartmill retaining his place in the centre alongside Adam Liddell. Jack McMurtry and Michael Barker are on the wings with Mark O'Connor at full back. Injuries rule out front row forwards Philip Eadie, Chris Griffiths and David Halliday along with winger Rory Campbell. Second row Richard Millar is unavailable for the next two AIL games. Both the coaches and the players know how important the remaining six AIL games are if the team is going to remain in contention for a playoff place.
When these two teams met at Cashel in October Malone won 29 - 18.
