The opening half came to a close with no further scores from either side. Malone had the lions share of the opening half but lacked any penetration and were unable to tun periods of pressure into points, the visitors on the other hand had only a couple of scoring opportunities which they seized with clinical precision.

As the second half began one sensed that if Malone were to get back in contention they needed an early score however it was the visitors who scored when out half Mark O;Neill cut through a weak Malone defence to score and convert his own try. Score line 3-21 meant that Malone were chasing the game. A further converted try from Terenures Will Devane outstretched their lead to 3-28

Malone had the last word when as the game drew to a close winger Jay Malcolm crossed for McKinney to convert to leave the final scoreline 15-28 in favour of Terenure College who secured a try bonus point.

Malone despite a lot off effort particularly in the opening half lacked any meaningful penetration. Despite totally dominating at scrum time their efforts showed little reward as the visitors went unpunished for numerous infringements.

Next game is away to Belfast rivals Harlequins, one definitely not to miss.
