Coaches WHO

The scene was set.

Transport had been a major issue this week. Would we leave one behind. There was clearly some issues in the early parts of the days leading up to this fixture. There seemed to be some half efforts put in and later a full effort. But with lots of full pints effort being consumed in the last run in,brought it’s own problems. Bus timetables were looked at, that was only to try and get the “HEAD COACH” back from a wee break. This seemed to involve half pints in the morning and pints in the afternoon. He is unwilling to be drawn on what was the exact cause of this drinking habit ( does it have anything to do with coaching the U18s)
If that’s the question we might have to answer No. we all know who Simon is “COACH” allegedly there is a backs coach normally found at the entrance to the changing rooms pointing at a team photo of a past team with dreamy eyes living past glory. The HEAD COACH a title given to him by himself if not travelling can be found in the bar bragging about some run in a game years ago where a scrum half caught him and he ran on. The admin guy, well he let’s say no more missing again and will be again in a couple of weeks. There is a very capable assistant but apparently not only forgot how to switch on his Wi-fi (again) it was up to his wife to keep parents updated. I’m too frightened to give my other assistant any grief (that’s the wife) Well I believe the whole team turned up at Ballyclare with Parents and the match began there was the normal good link up with the 8 & 9. The line out was working well Michael Jordan would be impressed with the hang time the jumpers are getting ?. From comments seen it appears the match was being played on a field . A pin point accurate kick or stopped by the long grass we know Dillion says pin point but unfortunately I can’t disagree I was there. Some good running with ball in hand and passing what a display from the backs nearly looks like they have a coach. Some good work by the forwards with several turnovers and both hookers showing their versatility in the last couple of weeks.

It’s also alleged that a centre initials CH who wasn’t feeling well, some sort of nasty stomach bug possibly the one that seems to hit at least one under 18 most Friday nights, had a moment of brilliance with his try that had THAT HEAD COACH wondering what the penalty was for. When you ground the ball in the opposition in goal area it’s a try.

This and the charge down leading to a try are just examples of the independent thinking and skills of a team that will be lead better in the future ?

This was a hard match that realistically saw the U18s pipped at the post. Well done Gentlemen and a big thanks to everyone for making themselves available  for the match. Hoping to have minibus next week which means we’ll not run into same transport issues.
Thanks Simon coach and Taxi. Any coaches wishing to comment talk to the ✋

Special thanks to Gareth for video inspiration ?

Any similarity to actual events is purely coincidental and no offence is really meant.
