U14's fight hard for win over Ballyclare

Malone U14's hosted Ballyclare/Larne at a wet Gibson Park on Saturday. The weather conditions made handling difficult but Malone led 10-0 after 15mins courtesy of two tries by Mark. On the stroke of half time the forwards rucked over the ball and Ivan picked up and dived over for his first try of the season. Fionn converted to leave the half time score Malone 17-0 Ballyclare/Larne. The visitors came out for the second half with renewed vigour and scored a converted try shortly after the restart. Malone increased their lead to 22-7 when Mark scored his third try of the match and, despite Ballyclare/Larne scoring a try with 5 mins left, Malone held on to win 22-12
