Another solid performance from the ever improving 14s

Malone U14's welcomed Ballynahinch U14's to Gibson Park on Saturday morning in what was a competitive friendly with the visitors unable to field a full team. Tries by Charlie (his first of the season), Mason, Callum C and Fionn with one conversion by Fionn meant the score was 22-0 to the home team at half time. Ballynahinch started the second half strongly and some poor Malone tackling allowed them to score a converted try shortly after the restart. Callum C quickly responded with his second try of the game but some more poor tackling allowed Ballynahinch to score again. However, a couple of good turnovers by Ivan, a try by Callum A and a hat trick try from Callum C stretched the lead beyond the visitor's reach. With the last play ,of the game, Ballynahinch threatened a consolation try, however a combination of Mason and Mark managed to hold the ball up over the line.
