Captain Ricky Greenwood and his players extended their winning run to three matches as they sit proudly at the top of Kukri Conference league 2 two points ahead of Omagh seconds.

Malone opened scoring after 20 mins through a Bruce Duff penalty with centre Gareth Millar scoring the first try to give his team an 8 - 0 lead. On the half hour mark winger Jack McMurtry showed his pace to score two tries in three minutes converted by Duff to leave the score 20 - 0 in favour of the home side at half time.

There was no letting up by the Gibson Park team in the second half as they added further tries through Andy Bryan's, Tiarnan Dillon, Jack Knox and Aaron McKechnie with replacement back Mark O'Connor converting two to leave Malone winners by 44 - 0.

Bigger tests lie ahead for this team as they play neighbours Grosvenor in back to back games at Gibson Park. First up is the Conference league this weekend followed by the 2nd round of the Junior Cup on Saturday week.

Managers Davy Heron and Sam McBurney will be expecting maximum turn out at training from the seconds players. Grosvenor are unbeaten this season and will present formidable opponents.
